NIST Updates Are Coming, So What is the Impact?

August 30, 2017 - 11:00 AM Pacific / 2:00 PM Eastern

There is a pressing need to fortify the systems, products, and services that make up the critical infrastructure in the United States. As such, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has been working on key enhancements to their publications to enable practitioners to be more efficient and outcome-based. SP 800-37 Revision 2 and SP 800-53 Revision 5 are at the core of this work and are being readied for public release.

In this upcoming webinar, Dr. Ron Ross, NIST fellow and principal architect of the NIST Risk Management Framework, will discuss the safeguarding measures in the impending revisions as internal review nears completion. Tripwire CTO, Dave Meltzer, will join Dr. Ross to discuss the how the publications aim to be more consumable beyond the federal landscape and the key drivers of this change.

We hope you can join us to learn about the proactive and systematic approach NIST has taken to develop the next generation security and privacy controls. CPE credits are available for live attendance. Save your spot today!
